Problems with burning wood wick candles?

Wooden wicks burn a bit differently than traditional cotton wicks do. We have answers and fixes for the common issues that raised from our customers. Please find out more in this blog post. 

Can I use other materials or items with your kit? 

We will not suggest so because the ingredients provided are formulated. Swapping the fragrance oil to other brand or type could cause the ratio imbalance between oil and wax. Adding other types of color dye might trigger different reaction. Same thing that goes with changing the candle container. Changing any factor outside of our instructions can lead to candles that will not burn properly. For the best result and ultimate success, please stay with what we provide in the kit. 

What is your wax made of? 

We use 100% premium soy wax in our Soy Wax Making Kit for Beginners. Soy candles burn longer and cleaner than the traditional paraffin candles. A lower melting point of soy wax also prevents tunneling and residue build-up, providing a more fragrant experience than blended waxes (soy with paraffin, soy with other plan based wax).

We are constantly looking for new scents so please sign up & subscribe to stay connected. If you don't see what you are looking for, shoot us a message we are happy to help. Other candle making supplies and accessories are in our pipeline. We plan to offer them later this year. 

How does Bon Rêve implement sustainability? 

Our products are vegan and cruelty-free. We do not test our products or ingredients on animals. Our soy wax is plant-based and natural unlike paraffin wax that is derived from petroleum. We sourced our packaging carefully so that plastic is used minimally, and more than 50% of box is made of recycled pulps. Our tools are stainless steel, not only make them durable for single use but also repeated use.
